Last Updated: August 9, 2026

1. What Cadenza Is

Cadenza is a wellness and companionship platform designed to help people enjoy, structure, and engage with their day.

Cadenza may provide conversational companionship, encouragement, recreational activities, music, games, journaling, reflection, storytelling, social connection prompts, memory and legacy activities, and other experiences intended to support everyday wellness, engagement, connection, and quality of life.

Cadenza is designed for people living with Parkinson's and others who may benefit from companionship and meaningful daily engagement. References to Parkinson's or other health conditions describe the people Cadenza is designed to serve. They do not mean that Cadenza is intended to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate, prevent, monitor, or manage any disease or medical condition.

2. Intended Use

Cadenza's intended use is to promote and encourage everyday choices — relaxation, stress management, enjoyable movement and recreation, creative expression, social connection, reflection, and mental engagement for enjoyment — that support a general state of health and a healthy, engaged daily life.

Cadenza additionally promotes and encourages choices which, as part of a healthy lifestyle, may help living well with Parkinson's disease.

Cadenza's intended use does not extend to the diagnosis, cure, mitigation, prevention, treatment, monitoring, or management of Parkinson's disease or any other disease or medical condition.

3. Cadenza Is Not a Medical Product

Cadenza is not a medical device, medical treatment, diagnostic service, clinical decision-support system, or substitute for professional healthcare.

Cadenza does not provide medical diagnosis, medical treatment, medical monitoring, clinical assessment, or medical management.

Cadenza does not provide medical advice, prescribe or recommend medications, determine medication dosages, interpret medical test results, assess disease progression, or provide individualized treatment plans.

Nothing provided by Cadenza should be understood as a diagnosis, treatment recommendation, medical opinion, or clinical assessment.

4. Wellness, Not Medical Care

Cadenza's activities and conversations are intended to support general wellness and everyday life.

Examples may include:

These experiences are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate, prevent, or monitor Parkinson's disease or any other medical condition.

Cadenza does not promise or represent that any particular activity will improve, slow, reverse, restore, or otherwise affect the course of a disease or medical condition, or restore any structure or function affected by one.

5. No Symptom Monitoring or Clinical Assessment

Cadenza is not designed to measure, score, diagnose, or clinically interpret symptoms.

Cadenza does not provide clinical assessments of:

Cadenza should never be relied upon to determine whether a person's medical condition is improving, worsening, or changing.

Cadenza's games and activities are provided for enjoyment. They are not cognitive tests, they are not scored, and results are not tracked, compared over time, or interpreted.

6. No Physiologic Sensing or Measurement

Cadenza does not sense, measure, estimate, infer, or output any physiologic parameter.

Cadenza does not collect or process heart rate, heart rate variability, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, blood glucose, tremor data, gait data, sleep staging, or any comparable physiologic measurement, and does not integrate with wearable devices or sensors for these purposes.

This is a permanent design commitment, not a current limitation.

7. Speech and Voice

Cadenza uses speech recognition so that a person can speak rather than type.

Cadenza does not assess, score, rate, analyze, or comment on the quality, clarity, volume, or characteristics of a person's speech, and does not track any aspect of speech over time.

Cadenza's voice journal stores transcribed text only. Audio recordings are not retained, no voiceprint or biometric voice template is created or stored, and no voice model of any user is built.

Speech recognition is imperfect and may misunderstand what was said. Cadenza is designed to offer alternatives when this happens, and no flow requires successful speech recognition to complete.

8. Medications and Medical Decisions

Cadenza does not prescribe, recommend, adjust, discontinue, or evaluate medications, and does not provide medication timing, reminders, dosing information, or dietary interaction guidance.

Users should not change, stop, start, skip, or alter medication or other medical treatment based on anything communicated by Cadenza.

Questions concerning medications, treatment, symptoms, diagnosis, medical conditions, or other healthcare decisions should be directed to an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.

9. Cadenza and Artificial Intelligence

Cadenza may use artificial intelligence to generate conversations, activities, suggestions, personalization, and other experiences.

AI-generated content can be incomplete, inaccurate, inappropriate, or incorrect.

Cadenza does not guarantee that every AI-generated statement is accurate or appropriate for a particular person or situation.

Users should not rely on Cadenza's AI-generated responses for medical, emergency, legal, financial, or other professional advice.

Cadenza's AI is designed to provide companionship and wellness-oriented experiences, not clinical judgment.

10. When Professional Help Is Needed

Cadenza is not an emergency service.

If you believe you or another person is experiencing a medical emergency, an immediate safety concern, or a potentially serious medical problem, contact appropriate emergency services or a qualified healthcare professional.

In the United States, the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline is available 24 hours a day by call or text at 988.

Do not rely on Cadenza to recognize, diagnose, evaluate, or respond to a medical emergency.

Cadenza may occasionally suggest that speaking with a healthcare professional could be helpful. Any such suggestion is general encouragement only. It does not identify or name a condition, does not characterize anything as abnormal or concerning, does not reflect any clinical threshold or assessment, and is not part of any ongoing monitoring.

11. Physical Activities

Some Cadenza experiences may involve movement, stretching, walking, or other physical activity.

Talk with your healthcare professional before beginning any new physical activity.

Users are responsible for determining whether an activity is appropriate for their own circumstances.

Cadenza does not evaluate an individual's physical abilities, medical history, limitations, fall risk, medications, or other health factors, and does not create individualized exercise programs.

Seated alternatives are offered wherever possible. Nothing is timed, counted toward a target, or required.

If an activity causes pain, dizziness, unusual shortness of breath, weakness, or other concerning symptoms, stop the activity and seek appropriate professional assistance.

12. Food, Drink, and Daily Routine

Cadenza may offer general encouragement around eating, drinking water, and daily routine.

This is general wellness encouragement only. Cadenza does not provide individualized nutrition advice, does not create meal plans, does not count or track intake of any kind, and does not provide guidance on the timing of food relative to medication.

Questions about diet should be directed to a qualified healthcare professional or registered dietitian.

13. Individual Differences

Cadenza's suggestions are not individualized medical recommendations.

Every person is different. An activity, conversation, game, movement, or suggestion that is enjoyable or appropriate for one person may not be appropriate for another.

Users should exercise their own judgment and seek professional guidance when appropriate.

14. Caregivers and Family Members

Cadenza may provide features intended to support family connection and caregiver relationships.

Cadenza does not replace a caregiver, family member, healthcare professional, home-health worker, or other qualified professional.

Cadenza should not be relied upon to supervise a person's physical safety, medication administration, medical care, or emergency response.

Information shared with family members through Cadenza is shared at the user's direction, one item at a time, and may be withdrawn by the user at any time. Cadenza does not send clinical alerts, health notifications, or reports of any kind to family members or anyone else.

15. Personalization and Memory

Cadenza may use information provided by a user to personalize conversations, activities, preferences, stories, and other wellness experiences.

Personalization is intended to make Cadenza more helpful and engaging.

Personalization does not constitute a medical profile, clinical record, diagnosis, or medical assessment.

Cadenza does not infer, determine, estimate, or record medical conditions, symptoms, disease stage, or physiologic values from a user's conversations, behavior, or voice.

16. No Guarantee of Outcomes

Cadenza is intended to support everyday wellness, engagement, companionship, and connection.

Cadenza does not guarantee any particular physical, cognitive, emotional, social, or other outcome.

Individual experiences will vary.

17. User Responsibility

By using Cadenza, you acknowledge that:

1. Cadenza is a wellness and companionship service.

2. Cadenza is not a substitute for professional healthcare.

3. You are responsible for decisions concerning your own health and safety.

4. You will seek appropriate professional assistance for medical questions and concerns.

5. You will not rely on Cadenza for emergency assistance or medical decision-making.

6. You understand that AI-generated content may occasionally be inaccurate or inappropriate.

18. Important Boundary for Cadenza

Cadenza's purpose is simple:

The healthcare system helps manage the disease. Cadenza helps you live your life.

Cadenza exists to provide companionship, encouragement, meaningful activities, connection, creativity, reflection, and everyday wellness.

Cadenza does not attempt to replace the healthcare system or the professionals who care for its users.

19. Regulatory Position

Cadenza is designed and intended as a wellness and companionship product.

Cadenza's intended use is not to diagnose, cure, mitigate, treat, prevent, monitor, or manage Parkinson's disease or another disease or medical condition.

Cadenza does not make claims that its products or services provide clinical treatment or medical benefit.

The regulatory status of software can depend on its specific functionality and intended use. Nothing in this policy should be interpreted as a legal determination that any particular feature or version of Cadenza is exempt from regulation.

20. Changes to This Policy

Cadenza may update this Wellness, Safety & Use Policy as the product evolves, applicable laws and regulations change, or additional safety practices are adopted.

The most current version will be made available through the Cadenza website.
